Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy explains how PortalMine uses cookies and similar technologies and how you can control them.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device. They help websites remember your preferences and maintain sessions (for example, staying logged in).

We may also use similar technologies like local storage for analytics, depending on your choices and local laws.

How we use cookies

  • Essential cookies: required for the site to function (login sessions, security, cookie preference storage).
  • Analytics cookies (optional): help us understand traffic and improve the site’s usability.
  • Advertising technologies (optional): may support clearly labelled Google AdSense placements after the service is approved, enabled, and the required regional consent has been collected.

If you decline optional cookies, the site still works, but we may have less insight into performance and user flows.

Manage your preferences

  • Use the “Cookie settings” button in the footer (recommended).
  • Adjust your browser settings to block or delete cookies (note: essential features may break).

Tip: If you’re testing, try changing preferences and reloading the page to confirm your banner logic behaves correctly.

Google advertising cookies

If Google ads are enabled, Google may set or read cookies and use similar technologies to serve, limit, personalize, and measure advertising. Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to PortalMine or other websites. Users can manage personalized advertising in Google Ads Settings.

Google and other approved providers may also receive consent choices and technical information needed to respect privacy settings, prevent fraud, and measure ad delivery.

Consent management

Where required by law—such as for certain users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland—PortalMine must use an appropriate consent-management process before activating relevant advertising or analytics storage. The site’s basic cookie panel is not a substitute for a Google-certified consent-management platform when Google requires one for advertising.

After AdSense setup, PortalMine should enable a Google-certified CMP through AdSense Privacy & messaging or another certified provider and make a “Privacy & cookie settings” control available for users who want to revisit their choices.

Browser and device controls

Most browsers allow users to delete cookies, block third-party cookies, limit tracking, or clear site data. Blocking necessary storage can sign users out or prevent account functions. Browser controls do not automatically communicate every advertising preference, so users may also need to use provider opt-out tools.

Changes and contact

Cookie names, providers, and retention periods can change as the service evolves. This policy will be updated when material categories or purposes change. Questions can be sent to support@portalmine.com.

Current advertising status

Third-party advertising scripts are disabled in this AdSense-review build. Essential account, security, preference, documentation, and server-management functions continue without advertising storage.

If Google AdSense is enabled after approval, PortalMine will use a Google-certified consent-management platform where required and will provide a way to revisit privacy choices. The dashboard coin timer is not an advertisement and does not require ad clicks or sponsored-page interaction.
